About Us
Saving Dobermankind Animal Rescue (SDAR) is a volunteer ran rescue out of Fountain, CO, originally founded by animal lover Lauri Filar in 2014.
SDAR pulls Doberman Pinschers from high kill shelters in Colorado and surrounding states.
SDAR rescues Dobermans, Doberman Mixes, and other breeds of dogs on a case by case basis.
SDAR is a registered rescue in the State of Colorado under PACFA.
We are purely donation based, and can't do it without your help! We have several dogs now with medical needs. Some of our past and present medical needs are neurological disabilities, mammary cancer, hip problems, parvo, distemper, pregnancies, severely emaciated dogs, dental issues, skin issues, mange etc.
Here at Saving Dobermankind we require a completed adoption application to be submitted before we will discuss details of a specific Doberman.
We DO NOT have a central location; our foster homes are located throughout our geographic region including CO, WY, NM and TX.
We strive to PROTECT the privacy of our fosters. ALL Doberman meet and greets are conducted in a neutral meeting location made by appointment only.
